Aliens Cause Global Warming was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. Though the vote was in favor of deletion, the merger and redirection requires that the edit history be kept intact.
Not-notable lecture. Orphaned POV article. [[User:Neutrality|Neutrality (hopefully!)]] 01:55, Nov 16, 2004 (UTC)

- Delete: Crichton speech, but its presence here is as a POV statement. The single lecture is not notable, and some of us think that Malthus still isn't wrong. Geogre 04:06, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- The POV nature of the speech can easily be countered by adding criticism of Crichton to the article. Whether the lecture is notable is another matter, but the phrase gets 1500 Google hits, which is a point in its favour. sjorford 11:32, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- delete POV, silly, non-notable -- William M. Connolley 09:30, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- If it's a keep, then this article needs serious improvement. E.g. What does it mean when they say that 'nuclear winter' was a no-show? The conditions to prove it a true or false theory have never been met (and hopefully never will). If people who care about it are willing to put in effort, then keep. Otherwise delete -- rernst 14:24, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Its NPOV to suggest science is intrinsically flawed, if the evidence you present is just the incontrovertible fact that Paul R. Ehrlich didn't know what he was talking about. GWO
- Delete it. [[User:Radman1|RaD Man (talk)]] 02:13, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Please note: this article has now been merged into Michael Crichton, and any further discussion on its notability or otherwise can take place there. I suggest that Aliens Cause Global Warming can stay as an acceptable redirect and this VfD debate can be closed. sjorford 20:21, 25 Nov 2004 (UTC)
