Use of not authoritative sources

[edit]

The use of online editions of the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language and the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary are hardly an authoritative source and the entire use of the term heterosexism is spurious. The article might be improved by using actual scientific research, either sociological and/or psychological. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aristotele1982 (talkcontribs)

bias

[edit]

This article has a very strong liberal bias.

Surely does not meet article standards

[edit]

Written emotively/persuasively like a essay rather than an encyclopaedia article. Presented as fact rather than as a concept in the context of LGBT studies/ideology. Most source articles are unscientific and read like blog posts. Contains obvious ill will towards heterosexuals and lacks any mention of criticism of the term "heterosexism". Some content could be merged with or condensed into a section of "homophobia", "heteronormativity" or a similar page. Many logical inconsistencies but they may be beyond the scope of this talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nonsense-patrol (talkcontribs) 17:31, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry what?

Labelling a group as discriminatory shows bias. Discrimination is based on individual beliefs, not sexual orientation. Samtonin (talk) 01:35, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Labelling a group as discriminatory shows bias.

I'm not sure what you're on about or what that has to do with the article.
And discrimination based on sexual orientation is a thing. It's called homophobia, gayphobia, lesbophobia, biphobia and what not. — Python Drink (talk) 15:44, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
