Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
It is suggested that this article that you started be merged to the main The Singapore Scout Association article along with a couple of other articles on Groups. However, see what I wrote on Talk:The Singapore Scout Association. Across the world in WP, articles on individual Scout Groups are not considered notable and are merged into articles on Areas, Counties etc. Your article also does not meet the standards of Wikipedia. It reads like a vanity page. Wikipedia is not the place to host an article on your own Scout Group. Please consider my suggestions. You can contact me for help if you want to. --Bduke 02:09, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Invitation
[edit]Hi there fellow brother scout. I can see that you're a enthusiastic and active scout from the wiki edits you made. I was wondering if you interested in helping me to revive a defunct online forum for the scouts and guides in Singapore. I hope to get the forum up hopefully before next year for the Scouting centennial year and the endorse from the HQ. Thanks a lot. Fair use disputed for Image:Hcjc.PNG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Hcjc.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:39, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
