delete?

[edit]

No need to use the "?" in the edit summary when designating speedy deletes; your understanding of what constitutes a delete seem to be well-calibrated. Keep up the good work :). Thue | talk 20:09, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Hey :0

[edit]

Yeah, thanks for starting the Aquinas College Grand Rapids page. Saved me a lot of time :) Ral315 04:29, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

WikiProject Michigan

[edit]

I see you sometimes edit articles on Michigan-related items. You might be interested in the new wikiproject, Wikipedia:WikiProject Michigan. Cheers. olderwiser 21:06, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Deer school closures

I have never heard of anywhere south of about Cadillac doing this? Are there any exammples in Southern Michigan? Rmhermen 16:32, 7 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi,

My main reason for editing Grand Valley State University was to deal with units of measurement. While I was there, I unlinked solitary years in accordance with the Manual of Style recommendation:

  • simple years, decades and centuries should only be linked if there's a strong reason for doing so.

I noticed you reverted this. It isn't a big deal to me so I won't unrevert your revert. However, I thought you might be interested to read the reference. Keep up the good work. Bobblewik 17:33, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Grand Rapids promo reverts

[edit]

If someone adds a reference to a business, I figure it deserves extra scrutiny. Is Yesterdog notable? Maybe. I hestitated before removing it. But I asked myself if it was a "site of local interest" on par with the Ford museum, the arena, the convention center, and Meijer Gardens? I love the place (I've been going there since the dogs were under a dollar), but... no. And declaring it a "local favorite" isn't particularly objective; in a city of 200K there are lots of favorite restaurants. What about the Beltline Bar? Gaia? Russ'? Little Mexico? Schnitzelbank? The Clock? Arnie's? Brandywine? El Adobe? The Brann's-es? It's a slippery slope into a restaurant guide, which I don't think is where a Wikipedia article should go. Since you have taken an interest in date links. Please be kind enough to vote for my new bot application. bobblewik 20:15, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Units

[edit]

I did so because I feel that the units interrupt the flow of the article. Frankly, I wonder whether the acreage is necessary at all, at least in the first paragraph. Ral315 (talk) 01:30, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GVSU Pictures

[edit]

Just wanted to let you know I could help out in taking pictures around the campuses of GVSU. I posted in the article discussion, Talk:Grand Valley State University. Currently I'm a student there so it's just a matter of getting a nice day and remembering my camera. What points of interest were you thinking of photographing? You can reply here in your talk or in the talk for the GVSU article, I will be checking both. Kuba425 02:19, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Vanandelarena.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vanandelarena.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:10, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:HaroldHongjuKoh.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:HaroldHongjuKoh.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hekerui (talk) 10:39, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
