The United States of America is a country located on the main land of the North American continent. It comprises of 50 states, an independent district, and Puerto Rico. The U.S.A. has 3 branches of government, a congress that makes and passes bills, a president and cabinet to sign bills, and a supreme court to decide the definition of the law. There is an election held for the presidential position every four years. Each state has electoral votes based on population. The popular choice of each state gets all the votes, with the exception of Maine and Nebraska.
