Hello! I have an idea to make this anime section better. Add a section featuring the most popular anime, but do a Top 10 list. If you like my idea, then add it. Thank you. RingmasterCaine (talk) 00:10, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
anime is not a cartoon - maybe I didn’t read the article meticulously but to the IP user: where does the article specially state this and in what ways does “anime” not fall under the broad umbrella term “cartoon” or “animated cartoons”? As noted by sources in the opening section, “anime” is literally just “animation”; natives of Japan or Japanese speakers use the term to refer to animation regardless of origin. The term’s usage to denote animation solely from Japan is an English-language thing (that has perhaps seeped into other non-Japanese languages as well). Like how “gelato” in Italian refers to all kinds of ice cream but is used in English to refer specifically to frozen treats of Italian origin.
