Influenza: The Musical
[edit]Since this musical episode is arguably the most memorable episode of this series, it got me wondering if there were any other shows to do a musical episode or episodes?

didnt it start in 1997 because i saw an episode where they had some sporting event going on but they had a banner in the back dated 1997
- I think that it's pilot was produced like two years before the show was picked up, or something of that Nature. WookMuff 08:58, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Strange dates
[edit]The article infobox lists the run date as 31 February. This must be a mistake, so I have changed it to what was in the body of the text. If this is incorrect, feel free to correct it. Ohconfucius (talk) 04:33, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Timeline of the show
[edit]The article claims that the entire show takes place during one school year, but by my recollection, that's not true. In the third season, the characters seem to have moved up a grade. I can't cite episode numbers off-hand (though I'm happy to consult IMDb for them if no one else recalls), but here are some cases in point-- the episode where Ren tries out for the flag squad, Louis and Tom Gribalski are both inside the bathroom marked "EIGHTH GRADE BOYS ONLY." Also, in the episode where Tawny tries out for the school of the arts, Ren mentions that the try-outs are "only for seventh- and eighth-graders"-- conclusion: she is in the ninth grade. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but at any rate, I think that should demonstrate that the show in fact takes place over TWO school years, not one. Also RE timeline it's mentioned that Ren is in junior high in 9th grade. In many part of the US junior high is grades 7-8-9 (the case where I went to school in Florida), middle school is grades 6-7-8 (a system they switched to later where I lived). Some areas combine both for a 6-7-8-9. So that's not unusual. SLEPhoto (talk) 15:20, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
Recurring characters
[edit]In the entry on Tawny where her clothing style's discussed this is included: "Tawny's dress is often confused to be that of a neo-Nazi. It is not known if this was the intention of the writers, but it has been noted that one specific writer was once seen speaking at a Nazi rally in 2005. Most critics of the show believe that this is the most significant detraction of the show. No legal action has been taken as of yet." I can't find any references to this, and it's unsourced. Seems like a serious allegation of that nature would show up. Any references? SLEPhoto (talk) 15:24, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
